As the definition I quote on my Myth and Legend page
indicates, a myth illuminates truth in the most essential sense. I believe
there is some truth in all belief systems. It is through the myths of these
systems that their essential truth speaks.

sites for story-tellers.

mythology and folklore. Also offers links to societies, university
departments, and USENET newsgroups.
- Regional Folklore and Mythology (updated 2001/12/26)
offers folklore, myths, and legends organized by cultural and
geographical region.
- Special Topics in Folklore and Mythology (updated 2002/02/17)
offers information about astronomical and meteorological myths and
legends (including global flood myths), urban legends, Mithraism,
Cinderella, and Grimm's Fairy Tales.
